Department of Industrial Engineering started the PhD program in the 2011-2012 academic period. The overall objective of our Industrial Engineering PhD Program is to provide the engineers who will make scientific and technological developments in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. For innovative applications, our PhD program is also provide the engineers with the strong analytical skills such as, access to information by doing research, as well as, evaluation and interpretation skills, extensive knowledge and practical skills relevant to the profession in the areas of specialization. Thus the department will be contribute to national economy to graduate competent industrial engineers equipped with the proficiency to adapt to technological, scientific and societal changes, and who are poised to excel in the field.
Engineers are trained at the forefront of the identity of the researcher, enhance existing systems and designing new systems in the program with the in the face of complex problems arising in the manufacturing and service sector's enterprises,.
The Department is located at Institute of Science and Technology of Baskent University in Baglica Campus.2 Professors, 1 Associate Professors, 7 Assistant Professors and 3 Instructors are currently working in the Department of Industrial Engineering. When needed, according to the curriculum and actual topics, 2 or 3 part-time instructors are also employed. Our expert faculty members and staff population is carried out with high-quality education and researches program is offered. For this purpose, courses are conducted in a small number of groups and interactive education.
