At the end of this course, the students; 1) Research Proposal Development: The student can develop a clear and coherent research proposal, outlining the objectives, significance, and methodologies of the intended research. 2) Preliminary Literature Review: The student is able to conduct a preliminary literature review, identifying the main debates, gaps, and key authors in their chosen field. 3) Research Question Formulation: The student can formulate clear and researchable questions or hypotheses that will guide their thesis. 4) Understanding Research Methodologies: The student gains a foundational understanding of various research methodologies and can select the most appropriate method for their research. 5) Ethical Considerations: The student can identify and understand the ethical considerations relevant to their research topic and method. 6) Research Planning: The student can create a feasible research plan, considering timelines, resources, and potential challenges. 7) Basics of Academic Writing: The student understands the basics of academic writing, including citation formats, structuring arguments, and maintaining a consistent writing style. 8) Foundations of Critical Thinking: The student begins to critically engage with existing literature, understanding its strengths, weaknesses, and areas of contention.
