COURSE DEFINITION	Researching on related Turkish bibliographic materials.
COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week Bibliography: basic features of bibliographic research. 2nd Week Classification of bibliographic materials: books, articles, journals, reference books, encyclopedies, thesis, treatises,etc.. 3rd Week Fundamental sources in music bibliography of Turkey. 4th Week Source readings on 15th and 18th C. works about Turkish Music. 5th Week Turkish Music according to European travelers' observations. 6th Week 19th c. and comparing with Western music. 7th Week 20th c. Sources of Turkish Music and some remarkable subjects. 8th Week Midterm. 9th Week Music publishing during Republican Period. 10th Week Leading periodicals in Republican Period of turkey. 11th Week Articles on music in the journals, "Müzik ve Sanat Hareketleri", "Türk Folklor Araştırmaları" and "Ülkü". 12th Week Basic topics in the journals of "Türk Musikisi" and "Orkestra". 13th Week Basic topics in the journals of "Hey", "Musikişinas" and "Dansa Doğru". 14th Week Academical works on music in Turkey.
