LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Define psychological factors that affect individual and group behaviors,
2) List the positive organizational behaviors that help to increase individual performance and organizational effectiveness,
3) Explain human behaviors and relationships in organizations by using organizational behavior theory,
4) Develop principles regarding management based on their theoretical knowledge on human behaviors,
5) Are able to show appropriate behaviors by analyzing and interpreting individuals and groups behaviors in their workplaces.

COURSE DEFINITIONHealth care organizations which are operating in an uncertain environment are different from other organizations in terms of level of professionalization and departmental complexity. In addition to that, health care organizations are service organizations. Because of these reasons, it is very important to analyze the situations of the individuals with the organizational behavior paradigm for effective management practices. This course aims to provide necessary information about concepts of motivation, leadership, and team study and conflict management to the future managers of the health care organizations.
