COURSE DEFINITION
Introduction to operations research. System approach. Multi disciplinary research and scientific methods. Basic definitions and theorems of linear programming. Simplex algorithm, big-M and two phase methods. Duality and sensitivity analysis. Transportation, assignment, shortest path, minimum spanning tree, maximal flow problems. Nonlinear decision models, local optimization, convexity and quadratic models. Analytical methods for multivariate models. Integer programming, brand and bound method. Dynamic programming. Decision making under risk and under uncertainty. Game theory.
