3) Know and apply stability theory and its applications.
4) Gain an ability to calculate transfer function via differential equations.
5) Know and use singular perturbations theory and its applications.
6) Know and improve differential geometric methods.
7) Experience the theoretical knowledge with applications.

COURSE DEFINITIONLinear versus nonlinear. Basic nonlinear analysis. Nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Second order systems; Poincare-Bendixon theorem, limit cycles. Stability in the sense of Lyapunov. Input-output stability, passivity, small gain theorem. Singular Perturbations. Differential geometric methods. Recent topics on nonlinear systems.
