At the end of this course, the students; 1) evaluate linguistic analysis of Turkish and English at any level 2) examine the similarities and difference between English and Turkish 3) develop awareness about the negative transfer in language learning with the ultimate goal of overcoming possible linguistic problems.

COURSE DEFINITION
The course presents students similar and different structures of Turkish and English though a full linguistic
analysis of the grammars. The sentential and phrasal structures and the usage properties will be contrasted by
means of linguistic methods
