At the end of this course, the students; 1) to distinguish consonants in English in terms of their places of articulation and manner and manner of articulations and vowels articulated differently on the basis of toungue and lips' position and to articulate vowels in English properly. 2) to use International Phonetic Alphabet while pronouncing umkown words and to have knowledge about intonation, stress, pitch and juncture patterns in English. 3) to pronounce sentences correctly by applying appropriate stress and intonation to make students aware of the English language sounds and their characteristics and to enable them to pronounce better to improve their listening skills.
