LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Examine the effect of the economic-political change that emerged in the post-capitalist period, in the post-industrial period, on the developing and changing capitalist production system,
2) In commodity production, change is made in function, image, representation, etc. analyzes the commodity and its representative role in capitalist political economy,
3) Also analyzes the basic principles, theories and practices of commodity aesthetics through Turkey and China.

RECOMMENDED OPTIONAL PROGRAMME COMPONENT-
COURSE DEFINITIONThe basic principles, theories and practices of commodity aesthetics, which focus on the change in the capitalist production system that took place after 1950, are analyzed. In this context, the paradigms of change in industrial production, the "aesthetic and meta-aesthetic" dimension of productions such as media production, advertising and cinema; considered in the context of design and visual culture. Changing and developing "aesthetic, economy-political" paradigms in commodity production are discussed. Today's modern theory and practices of commodity aesthetics are discussed through the examples of China and Turkey.
