COURSE DEFINITION
Digital transformation, which is also described as Industry 4.0, shows itself in every aspect of our lives today. This includes culture. Digital transformation takes place with the combination of many physical and digital technologies, and this has reshaped the daily life culture, including our habits and lifestyles, sociologically. Perhaps the most important issue in this formation is our relationship with reality. Because digital media and digital culture have turned this relationship upside down. In the post-truth era we live in, our perception of reality is shaped by screens and what is reflected from them. Reality is sacrificed to what is wanted to be real.
The aim of the course is; after gaining an idea on the basic conceptual definitions and distinctions, it is to open the digital media and culture for discussion in the post-truth era with a critical view and thus to try to understand it.
