COURSE DEFINITION
According to many theorists, humanity lives in the age of visual culture after the ages of oral culture and written culture, and perhaps it is under a greater visual message bombardment than at any other time in history. In this context, communication has also changed form and become visual. Therefore, today, knowing the visual communication theories has become even more important in terms of understanding and interpreting the culture we live in.
The aim of the course is to acquire the theoretical equipment about the basic theories and approaches of visual communication, and thus to create the equipment that can recognize, make sense of and analyze visual communication elements and culture.
