1) Know the concepts, theories and approaches discussed under related topics such as art production, consumption and distribution in digital media,
2) Subjecting digital media art to a critical reading,
3) Recognize prominent local and foreign names related to digital media art and distinguish their works.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe rapid development of digital technologies has not only transformed our daily lives, but also changed our understanding of art and its perceptive. There are even new branches and forms of art that manifest themselves with digital. In the context of the course, it is aimed to discuss the relationship between digital media and art; thus, to discuss the effect of technology on art, the transformation of art and the artist, through contemporary examples. In this course, which aims to question the claim that the possibilities offered by digital media bring freedom to artists and diversity to art, and to gain a critical view, students will have the opportunity to discuss many current concepts and discussions.
