At the end of this course, the students; 1) To clarify the conceptual background for and political as well as legal environment facing international business 2) To discuss the reasons for why and how companies are engaged in international business 3) To focus on motivations of handling international business through direct investment

COURSE DEFINITION | This course provides general knowledge about economic integration and focuses on EU's historical development. In this context, integration theory, forms of integration, economies of countries affected by the EU's development, especially in the final stage of EU, are explained and institutions such as the Economic and Monetary Union and the European Central Bank are examined. Moreover, basic problems in the process of Turkey's full membership in EU and special topics such as public policy, customs union and convergence criteria are discussed. |
