LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Knowledge about research techniques
2) Competence of research and reading.
3) Competence of making past-present-future analysis in the field of theoretical research and design about a concept, object or event.
4) The ability to reach the necessary information and visual preparation for the seminar, to use Turkish correctly and effectively, to use time efficiently, to make an effective presentation with gestures and facial expressions and body language.
5) The ability to think fluently / flexible / unique.

COURSE DEFINITIONInformation about conducting scientific research, preparing publications and making presentations; gaining reading habit, thinking in a context, converting thoughts into writing and design, reviewing a book and theoretical research on a concept, object or event, and preparing a project that can analyze the past, present and future in the field of design, to use the project effectively for the purpose in a certain time period.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Getting acquainted, the definition of the course, its aims, the curriculum, information about the Midterm and Final projects, First Questionnaire.
2nd Week Scientific research techniques (information about the Visa Project, ?Book Review Project?). (Reading a book in the field of art, giving information about the book's identity information, its author and writing a summary, analyzing the existing cover design of the book and designing a new book cover.)
3rd Week Scientific research techniques, a sample presentation.
4th Week What is a seminar?, How to make an effective presentation? Efficient use of time in an effective presentation, preparing effective visuals and informative presentations, correct and effective use of Turkish, body language, gestures and mimics, eye contact with the audience, etc. information sharing on issues, a sample presentation.
5th Week Presentation of book review projects.
6th Week Presentation of book review projects.
7th Week Presentation of book review projects.
8th Week Midterm Week
9th Week Brainstorming on final project topics.
10th Week Composition writing and presentation about the selected project topic, examining the sources, using the information for the purpose.
11th Week Past-present and future analysis in the field of theoretical research and design about a concept, object or event (Final Project). (Research on a selected concept or presentation of a project with effective visual layout and information flow, poster design for presentation.
12th Week Presentation of final projects.
13th Week Presentation of final projects.
14th Week Presentation of final projects, Last Questionnaire.
