LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will be able to list the types of disasters.
2) Will be able to identify the effects of disasters on the individual and the community.
3) Will be able to identify the management stages of the disasters and list the organizations which will take part in the stages.
4) Will be able to identify the role of the nurse and how the health workers being affected in disasters.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course consists the natural disasters and their new apparance in nowadays socio-demographic changes, the effects of disasters management and the roles,functions and the responsibilities of health workers at these stages.
