At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explain the basic principles and concepts aging and geriatrics 2) Defines the roles and responsibilities of the geriatric nurse 3) Discuss the ways and methods to be used in diagnosing the needs and health problems of the elderly person. 4) Lists nursing interventions by determining the care needs of the elderly patient.

This course; it provides theoretical knowledge about the aging process, emerging issues related to aging and the solution of these problems.
