LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Makes the necessary assessments before and after orthosis application in individuals with orthotic indication.
2) Can choose the appropriate approaches for orthosis rehabilitation and decide the orthosis.
3) Customizes the orthosis rehabilitation approaches according to the patient and the disease, plans and implements the treatment program that will increase the effectiveness of the orthosis.
4) Gives the necessary recommendations during the use of orthoses, understands the importance and systematic monitoring of the patient for a long time.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course includes the subjects of biomechanical principles of orthotics; pre and post orthotic assessment; orthoses used for various segments in the upper, lower limbs and spine; orthotic approach in various injuries, musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders, post-operative care, congenital and acquired deformities; orthotic assessment and orthotic rehabilitation.
