LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Evaluate the theoretical and professional relationship between public relation practitioners and journalists.
2) Gain the knowledge and skills about the tools and activities used for the media in the field of public relations.
3) Know the digital technology discussions and evaluate them together with current methods and techniques in public relations activities.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course aims to examine the theoretical discussion and professional intersections and conflicts in the fields of public relations and journalism, and in this context, to reveal the professional roles and ethical responsibilities in both fields. From this point of view, the tools and activities used for the media in the field of public relations are discussed through practical examples. In addition, the importance of digital technology and its channels is emphasized in terms of keeping up with the current trends of public relations practitioners.
