LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Diagnose and treat common adult and pediatric diseases in real patients with professional behaviors. 2) Directs rare adult and pediatric diseases to diagnosis in the real patient. 3) Performs medical interventions in common adult and pediatric diseases professionally in real patients. 4) He / she guides professionally in order to perform medical interventions in real patients in rare adult and pediatric diseases. 5) Learns preventive medicine services applied in primary care, and consults and implements real patients. 6) Follow-up of geriatric, disabled and bedridden patients on real patients.

COURSE DEFINITION | Family Medicine is an academic and scientific discipline with a unique educational content, research, evidence base and clinical practice, and a primary care-oriented clinical specialty. In 1986, the European Union demonstrated the need for primary health care services to be carried out by physicians specialized in their field. It has decided that the physicians who will work in Primary Health Services in 2001 should receive Family Medicine service education for at least 3 years after graduation from the Faculty of Medicine. |
COURSE CONTENTS | To ensure that medical education is able to apply the knowledge, skills and attitudes gained in pre-clinical and clinical education periods in the fields of family medicine service delivery. For this purpose, the students fulfill the duties and responsibilities defined for the internship period in line with the working principles and rules under the supervision of the responsible faculty members / s in the fields of primary health care provided by our university. The main objectives are to provide students with the necessary equipment to produce effective, quality services in primary care, after graduation, to learn about the symptoms frequently observed in primary care and the approaches focused on these symptoms, and to provide the student with appropriate opportunities for developing clinical knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors for primary care.
