At the end of this course, the students; 1) recognize the health organization at the Ministry, provincial and district level and contribute to its functioning at all levels 2) students contribute to public health in the management of common contagious and chronic patients 3) support the practices made to reduce environmental problems that negatively affect human health 4) will be guided by professional behaviors at all levels of the determination of important health problems in the society, team building and intervention 5) provide the organization of individual and group health education by using educational techniques on diseases and disasters that affect all people

COURSE DEFINITION
within the scope of teaching the basic principles, concepts and applications of public health: Providing information about the country's health status, health needs and health system ; providing information on the functioning of epidemiology, preventive medicine and primary health care services and legal regulations; Providing knowledge and skills about the duties of the physician in the management of health services, especially in primary care; Gaining public health approaches and skills in identifying and solving health problems important for public health
COURSE CONTENTS
The program covers a month. Students attend theoretical seminars (fundamental principles and concepts in public health, health organization in Turkey, Elderly Health, Critical reading the article, occupational health, vocational organizations and employee rights, basic health services, disaster in health services management, social aspects of traffic accidents, women's health gender and health, cancer control in Turkey); receive hands-on training in District Health Directorate, Tuberculosis Dispensaries and Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening and Education Center. Prepare a seminar (or review article) on a public health topic ; examine an article on public health; prepare and present health education to the risk groups.
