LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Makes the diagnosis and plans the treatment in a real patient with a common neuropsychiatric disease.
2) Makes the differential diagnosis of common neuropsychiatric symptoms in a real patient.
3) Refers the real patient with a rare neuropsychiatric disease properly.
4) Apply the common medical procedures and interventions of the neuropsychiatric system to the real patient.
5) Refer the real patient properly for the rare medical procedures and interventions of the neuropsychiatric system.
6) Approach systematically, search the related literature and perform evidence-based practice for the differential diagnosis in a real patient with neuropsychiatric symptoms.
7) Explains the emergency situations, makes diagnosis and treatment direction in rare and/or complicated cases in patients with neuropsychiatric diseases

COURSE DEFINITIONA clinical clearkship with case discussions and skill trainings to diagnose and treat the common neuropsychiatric diseases, to refer the patient with a rare disease properly, to explain the emergency situations and to make the direction of diagnosis and treatment in those cases, to apply the common and to direct the rare medical procedures and interventions of the neuropsychiatric system.
COURSE CONTENTS
TOPICS
1.Composed of 12 tasks, each with different symptom packages.
2.The symptoms within each task are handled by the lecturers of the related branch/branches.
3.These tasks are:
4.1. Agitation (Adult), Aggression (irritability), Suicidal Thought, Anxiety
5.2. Dizziness, Hearing Impairment, Tinitus, Problems with balance / movement
6.3. Headache
7.4. Changes in consciousness, Realization problems, Amnesia
8.5. Mood changes, Sleep changes , Appetite Disorders, Sexual Function Problems
9.6. Enuresis, Fecal Incontinence, Speech disorders (aphasia, dysarthria, stuttering, etc.), Paresthesia, Paresis, Paralysis, Movement Disorders
10.7. Stiff Neck, Convulsions
11.8. Attention deficit, Hyperactivity
12.9. Double vision, Visual impairment / loss, Ptosis, Pupil changes, Strabismus
13.10. Dry eye, Red Eye
14.11. Urinary Incontinence
15.12. Lumbal and back pain, Muscle weakness, Neck pain
