LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Present the outputs of events related to health and disease in the form of speed, proportion and proportion.
2) Calculate the criteria obtained from epidemiological studies and evaluates and compares the regional / national health level using these criteria.
3) Explain the importance of communicable and chronic diseases for public health.
4) Define health systems and explains the principles of health promotion.
5) Determine the important problems in terms of public health and discusses the solutions for the problems.
6) Establish correct patient-doctor communication.
7) Take general systemic history, makes background - family history and system inquiries.
8) Explain what holistic approach is and can apply it.
9) Provide all kinds of counseling (family and family planning, adolescence, tobacco, cancer screening, genetic counseling?).
10) Perform examination and interventional interventions, applies emergency intervention criteria to the patient.
11) Learn drug administration methods and preparations
12) Explain the rules to which the medical profession is applied and defines the place of these rules in the legal system.

COURSE DEFINITIONHealth Management, students learn and analyze public health concepts and application principles; acquire the necessary knowledge to plan, apply and conclude research for their own purposes; informing students about clinical ethics, research and publication ethics; develop awareness that they are subject to rules in terms of ethical, legal and medical technique during their medical practice and that they should observe the rules in their practice; It aims to have knowledge and skills about general clinical practice. The students who will meet with the patient face to face, the requirements of working in the hospital, the approach to the patient, the principles of examination and counseling, the patient welcoming and referral management are explained as theoretical lessons; clinical approach to the patient, providing care training and simple applications are given with practical application training.
COURSE CONTENTSIn the training, which lasts for a total of 5 weeks, theoretical lessons are explained to the whole group every week and practical lessons are held on the last training day of each week. In this course, information is given about the health method and clinic entrance practices. Students are able to develop solutions to public health problems for Turkey and the world in order to increase knowledge and skills in public health policy concepts and practices are transmitted in detail; Turkey and made comparative evaluations with examples from around the world. Research methods used in the field of health are taught. In general, the patient is taught to approach in a holistic way. Practically, the patient is taught emergency intervention, general systemic history taking, history - family history and system query, drug administration methods and preparation, patient examination and interventional interventions, evaluation of biochemical diagnostic tests, antibiotic use principles, healthcare-associated infections and prevention principles. Ethical issues for understanding, naming and generating ideas about solutions to the basic ethical problems that may be encountered in the clinic are explained. Sources of error in medical applications and incorrect applications are examined with case examples. Information on medical literature databases and access to information, clinical data systems, electronic health records and telemedicine applications are conveyed.
