LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Comprehend and calculate the claim frequency, claim size and risk premium.
2) Calculate and apply average claim amount and the rule of eight.
3) Calculate the insurance company provision with the analysis of paid claim and premium income way.
4) Calculate insurance hypothesis testing, point estimation and risk factors.
5) Apply multiple product risk factor model, and calculate its rate methods and credibility.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course gives the basic definitions in mathematics and statistics; insurance and risk concepts; technical operations in insurance; risk premium and exposure; reserves; incurred but not reported claim reserves; claim size and frequency; claim settlement; credibility theory.
