LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Will be able to define the concept of dispute in insurance. 2) Will be able to explain the systems created for the settlement of disputes in the insurance sector. 3) Gains dominance on some basic concepts that are subject to arbitration. 4) Will be able to explain the functioning of Insurance Arbitration courts as an alternative dispute resolution mechanism. 5) Learns the disputes arising from traffic, motor insurance, compulsory seat personal accident, agriculture and fire policies. 6) Analyze the disputes arising from the transportation branch and life and health insurances.

COURSE DEFINITION | In this course, the content of the disputes arising from insurance contracts between the policyholder or insurance beneficiaries and insurance companies, the disputes on the basis of branches, the systems created for the settlement of disputes in our insurance sector and the place and importance of the Insurance Arbitration system in the resolution of disputes are explained with the case study method through real cases. In this study, a better understanding of insurance transactions and insurance techniques, together with the real life reflections of insurance law practices will be tried to be revealed. |
