LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Understand basic concepts of wireless communication techniques.
2) Have detailed understanding of wireless propagation channels.
3) Have an understanding of design considerations for transceiver architectures.
4) Understand basic concepts of channel coding and information theory.
5) Have detailed understanding of spread spectrum systems.
6) Understand basic principles of wireless communication standards.

COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course, students are given a perspective on wireless communication systems, cellular systems, damping types, path loss models, modulation types used in wireless systems, and new generation cellular systems.

PLANNED LEARNING ACTIVITIES AND TEACHING METHODSThis course that contains a lot of mathematical operations is performed interactively with the student on the board. If necessary, supported with slides.
