LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Recognizes antenna types and evaluates their properties. 2) It evaluates antenna parameters such as directivity, gain, input impedance, radiation efficiency and polarization. 3) Express the role of antennas in communication systems. 4) Express and discuss different diffusion mechanisms. 5) Analyzes and designs various types of antennas and evaluates their properties. 6) Depending on the application, it decides the antenna type and the characteristics of the antenna.

COURSE DEFINITION | Gives antenna engineering concepts. Basic antenna parameters and antenna types, vector potentials and propagation integral, wire and loop antennas, analysis and synthesis of linear, planar and circular array antennas, antenna measurements and propagation of radio waves. |
