At the end of this course, the students; 1) Understand site investigations and review of widely used site investigation techniques, 2) Understand soil characterization and soil classes, 3) Estimate design of shallow foundations, 4) Estimate design of deep foundations, 5) Understand limit equilibrium-based slope stability, 6) Design foundations on problematic soils, 7) Design retaining structures, 8) Design soil nail walls.
