LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Have an ability to understand the basic principles of engineering economy; calculation of simple and compound interest, time value of money, internal rate of return, inflation and cost analysis, 2) Have an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering economy problems, 3) Operate the cash flow of the projects and compare variable engineering projects in terms of economy, 4) Have a knowledge about depreciation models and apply them, 5) Have a knowledge about sustainable development.

COURSE DEFINITION | This course handles the time value of money and methods of comparing alternatives from economic point of view, thus aims enabling students to make suitable decisions when they have to make a decision on an economical basis in their professional life.
