LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Describe what pharmacology is, talk about the basic principles of pharmacology, tell the pharmaceutical forms of drugs and routes of drug administration,
2) Explain the basic steps of pharmacokinetics by examples, describe the major drug interactions by major mechanisms, to
3) Tell the major factors altering drug effects
4) Talk about the pharmacology of autonomous nervous system, cardiovascular system, central nervous system, and tell the basic pharmacological approach to fluid-electrolyte and acid-base imbalance and intoxications at the basic level at the end of the course.
