At the end of this course, the students; 1) develop reading, listening, speaking and writing skills 2) learn the meaning and use of language associated with different text types, using appropriate strategies to work out meaning 3) write simple texts (profiles, posts, emails, reviews, reports, fact sheets).

COURSE DEFINITION
İNGL 111 is an introductory (A1 level) course aiming to teach general English to associate degree programs whose medium of instruction is Turkish. This course aims to increase students' knowledge of the English language and vocabulary and develop their four language skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing). Grammar and vocabulary studies are carried out both for the purpose of recognizing and using the target language. Alongside controlled classroom practice activities, this course focuses on students' fluency in the target language. Writing skill is especially at the sentence level.
