At the end of this course, the students; 1) Can recognize and discuss the concept of gender, 2) Can develop critical reflections on visual narratives in the context of gender, 3) Can see, criticize and deconstruct the relationship between sexism and techniques used in moving visual narrative forms such as movies and videos.

COURSE DEFINITION
The aim of the course is; such as "gaze/gaze, masculine gaze, female gaze, scopophilia, experimental film, feminist film theory, narrative cinema"; gaining familiarity with the concepts and theories that can enable to produce alternatives in terms of gender norms while constructing a visual narrative. Thus, they will learn to approach the mainstream visual narrative techniques critically and will be able to develop original, diverse and mindful forms while constructing their own narratives.
