1) Information about the theoretical knowledge in the field is obtained.
2) The interaction of psychology and art is learned through common study areas and practices.
3) A new field of study is initiated for the art-design student who wishes for various art psychology applications.

COURSE DEFINITIONCo-working areas of psychology and art are examined. Psychological elements in art production and reception, and schools and approaches developed by the science of psychology through art are discussed.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Basic concepts in psychology of art.
2nd Week Art psychology and aestheticization.
3rd Week Sensation-Perception-thinking-abstraction-imaginary thinking.
4th Week Theories in Art Psychology: Wertheimer, Gestalt, Fechner, Worringer.
5th Week Psychoanalytic theory of art: Freud-Jung-Lacan.
6th Week Psychoanalytic theory of art: architecture-music visual arts.
7th Week The relationship between space arts and psychology.
8th Week Midterm.
9th Week ?Art therapy? Examples and applications.
10th Week ?Crazies and Geniuses? (G.Venzmer) Book Review.
11th Week Cinema-TV and its Psychology.
12th Week Advertising and Subliminal advertising content applications.
13th Week Musical expression and psychology.
14th Week Evaluation.
