At the end of this course, the students; 1) Knows definitions and concepts related to typography. 2) Understands the role of typography as a design element and applies it effectively in visual communication design applications. 3) Learns about the existence and usability of different fonts. 4) Knows the historical development of typography related to typeface classifications. 5) Hierarchical arrangement in design makes information structuring.

COURSE DEFINITION
In this course, which is carried out with applications supported by projects and studio seminars, in order to ensure effective visual communication and give the right message; Anatomical forms of typefaces, typographic language, typeface features, fonts or font families, font selection, choice of letter size, text arrangement, use of space will be taught. The aim of this course is to raise awareness of the power of typography in creating meaning, to explore typography as a tool for representing concepts and to encourage conceptual thinking, and to explore the environments that use typography.

WEEK 9 3. Project, font selection and letter section composition.
10th Week
WEEK 10 3. Project, conversion of selected sections into graphic design.
11th Week
WEEK 11 3. Project, starting the 3D model application on the printed photoblock.
12th Week
WEEK 12 3. Project, the continuation of the 3D model phase.
13th Week
WEEK 13 3. Project deliveries and critiques.
14th Week
WEEK 14 Final exam (typographic portrait).
