LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Learn basic animal cell culture laboratory infrastructure, sterilization and aseptic techniques, and medium types.
2) Learn fundamentals of primary, suspension and monolayer cultures and passaging, and cell storage techniques.
3) Learn basic plant cell culture laboratory infrastructure, sterilization of seed and plant and medium types.
4) Learn sub-culture, direct and indirect organogenesis in plant cell culture.
5) Perform laboratory applications of the course content, and discuss experimental results.

COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course, students learn the culturing methods of animal and plant cells both theoretically and practically and have knowledge about the application areas of plant-animal tissue culture.
