COURSE DEFINITIONThis course will provide the opportunity to understand the structure and functions of nervous system and to follow the recent studies in neuroscience.

3rd Week Neuron: structure, classification, and cytology
4th Week Ion channels, membrane potential, action potential, electrophysiology
5th Week Receptors and intracellular transmission pathways
6th Week Synaptic transmission and neurotransmitters systems
7th Week Organization of nervous system, anatomical and functional organization
8th Week Midterm Exam
9th Week Development of nervous system
10th Week Axon guidance, nerve injury and regeneration of nervous tissue
11th Week Learning and memory
12th Week Sensory processing
13th Week Motion and central control
