At the end of this course, the students; 1) What is dislocation 2) Correlation between deformation of materials and dislocation theory 3) Know the methods of improving the material properties 4) Know the basic theories about the failure of materials 5) Examining fatigue behavior of materials 6) Understand the creep behavior of materials 7) Understand the methods of determining the mechanical properties of materials 8) Examine the details of the tensile test 9) Relationship between hardness test and other material behaviors 10) Understand brittle fracture and impact test methods
