COURSE DEFINITION
Foundry, Design of cast work parts. Contemporary casting processes and precision casting. Conventional welding processes. Hot and cold working of metals. Principles of plastic deformation. Powder metallurgy. Machinability and tool geometry, tool materials, tool life. Methods of metal cutting; Turning, milling, reaming, drilling and grinding.
