At the end of this course, the students; 1) Understand of the basic issues related to transmission lines and waveguides. 2) Design and analysis the passive microwave components and circuit impedance adaptation devices. 3) Will be able to use the Smith chart effectively. 4) Learn the structure of the wave propagation characteristics corresponds to different modes at transmission line. 5) Will be able to solve the problems about microwave circuits and systems.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course gives concepts of antenna engineering. Fundamental parameters of antennas, and antenna types, vector potentials and radiation integral, wire and loop antennas, analysis and synthesis of linear, planar and circular arrays, antenna measurements, and radio wave propagation topics are covered.
