At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn the importance of occupational health and safety. 2) Learn the causes of work accidents and risks in the working environment. 3) Learns risk management. 4) Know health and safety signs. 5) Have the knowledge about the effects of engineering applications on health, environment and safety.

COURSE DEFINITION | Brief history and definitions of work health and safety, human faults and accidents at work, physical, biological and chemical risk factors at the working environment, psychosocial factors, risk management and evaluation, anthropometric principles and working dimensions, occupational diseases, health and safety marks, job motivation and psychosocial approaches, influences of engineering applications regarding health, environment and safety, safety guidelines for technical applications. |
