1) Make distinction between existential philosophy and existential psychology.
2) Learn how to test existential problems in psychological studies.
3) Question existential anxieties in their lives.
4) Develop methodology to experimentally test existential parameters.
5) Evaluate psychological concepts through existential philosophy.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course contains topics in existentialism and experimental existential psychology. The topics include existential philosophy, existential anxieties, death and dying, freedom, isolation, search for meaning, and experimental existential psychology. The course is interested in the ideas of both existential philosophers such as Camus and Sartre and the founders of existential psychology such as Frankl and May.
