Graduates of the Master of Arts in Social Psychology can be employed in a wide variety of sectors requiring competence in social psychology and in research methods / statistics. Social Psychology graduates are widely employed in universities and research institutes taking academic roles such as lecturers and researchers. Social psychologists are also employed in the private sectorincluding government insititutions, non-governmental organisations, advertisement companies,and architecture and engineering firms. Roles of social psychologists in these work settings include researcher,consultant, marketing director, manager, political strategist, and technology designer. Those graduates wishing to pursue an academic career can be employed as research assistants in a variety of universities as they continue their studies to obtain higher degrees.
