LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn fundamental principles and concepts of child and adolescent clinical assessment. 2) Acquire knowledge of differentiations between child/adolescent clinical assessment and adult clinical assessment. 3) Learn fundamentals of clinical interview, behavioral observation and common and reliable psychological tests in addition to planning and writing a clinical assessment report. 4) Acquire knowledge about ethical issues and be prepared for ethical dilemmas which may be confronted.

COURSE DEFINITION | In this course, it is aimed to gain competency about the historical development of the clinical evaluation process of children and adolescents, basic evaluation areas, evaluation methods (observation-interviews and tests), related tests and psychometric properties of these tests. At the end of this course, students will learn theories and practice about clinical evaluation stages, basic interviewing principles, observation types, common tests with children and adolescents. |
