LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Masters the skills necessary to write screenplay.
2) Analyzes the format and content features of the screenplay.
3) Comprehends the stages of scenario writing and types of scenarios.
4) Creates the dramatic structure of the script.
5) Knows how to write dialog,create type and character.
6) Effectively uses the element of time in script writing.

COURSE DEFINITIONIn the course, which is the main text of all kinds of visual works that will reach the audience, the content, basic elements, dramatic structure and stages of the scenario will be discussed, screenwriting techniques will be taught by taking into account the market conditions. ), the stages of the scenario (synopsis, treatment, separation scenario, shooting scenario), character creation, mise-en-scene, dialogue writing, the beginning and end of the scenario, the students are asked to write a short film script.

3rd Week Script writing (Format): Who is the script written for? Page layout of the scenario, time in the scenario, didascalia and sound elements, passive information / active information, parts of the scenario, scenario writing stages
4th Week Script writing (Format)/ Synopsis Preparation
