At the end of this course, the students; 1) The students examine the possible definitions of "modern", "modernity" and "modernization". 2) Starting from these definitions, they analyze the social, economic and intellectual background of what is known as modern architecture. 3) By going through the historical period, they can evaluate different "modernities" and their possible criticisms. 4) They begin to recognize the criticism developed on "Modern Architecture" and the built environments.
