LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Clinically observes different orthodontic disorders related to jaw and facial structures. 2) Observes orthodontic treatment approaches and patient/parent-physician communication by making clinical observations. 3) Calculates the arc length deviation by model analysis by preparing an orthodontic model. 4) Plans simple treatments that can be applied with removable appliances. 5) He/she prepares and applies the movable apparatus and thermoplastic reinforcement apparatus. 6) Performs emergency intervention of injuries caused by orthodontic treatment. 7) Makes a case report using orthodontic diagnostic methods. 8) It diagnoses orthodontic malocclusions and directs them to the specialist when necessary.

COURSE DEFINITION	The objective of this course is strengthening the theoretic knowledge about orthodontic anomalies and orthodontic treatment approaches available for skeletal, dental and functional disorders involving jaws and face by watching applications on patients and understanding how different treatment methods are executed.
