LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Explains pharmacological and non-pharmacological behavior management techniques in pediatric patients.
2) Lists the principles of cavity preparation by considering the morphological differences between the permanent teeth in the restoration of deciduous teeth.
3) Defines the mechanism of action of methods such as fissure sealant and fluoride application in prevention of caries.
4) It defines the methods and materials specific to these teeth to be applied in the treatment of pulpal pathologies of primary and young permanent teeth.
5) List the etiologies of tooth loss in primary and mixed dentition, their effects on dental arch development and protective applications.
6) Evaluates the effects of nutrition on the mouth, teeth and surrounding tissues.
7) Counts the oral findings of systemic diseases seen in childhood.
8) Defines the etiological, pathophysiological and clinical features of childhood periodontal diseases.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe objective is to complete dental treatments by using the behaviour management techniques in children and to learn the treatment modality correctly. To teach conventional and adhesive restorative techniques in primary and permanent dentition.
