LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Apply pharmacological and non-pharmacological behavior management techniques in pediatric patients under the supervision of a faculty member. 2) Performs cavity preparation under the supervision of a faculty member, taking into account the morphological differences between the restoration of primary teeth and permanent teeth. 3) Apply fissure sealant and fluoride, which are among the methods of preventing caries, under the supervision of a faculty member. 4) Observe pulp treatment applications in primary and young permanent teeth. 5) Observe the applications of appliances that can be used in malocclusion treatments in dental arches and facial skeletal structures. 6) Observe the systemic effects of nutrients on the growth and development and their local effects on the oral cavity. 7) Observe childhood diseases and oral clinical results of these diseases. 8) Observe the formation mechanisms, clinical findings, and treatments of childhood periodontal diseases.

COURSE DEFINITION | The objective is to have an opinion about dental treatments by using the behaviour management techniques in children and to learn the treatment modality correctly. To teach conventional and adhesive restorative techniques in primary and permanent dentition. |
