At the end of this course, the students; 1) improve their academic and field specific vocabulary 2) listen to dialogues, take notes and make inferences 3) read and analyze medical articles from various medical resources 4) participate in-class discussions and share ideas/feelings 5) write an essay by incorporating field related vocabulary and contexts 6) analyze the medical terms and concepts that will be an essential part of the professional practice 7) improve communication skills in medical situations 8) present opinions on medical conditions by using the target language.

COURSE DEFINITION
İNG 345 is a B2/C1 level (Independent User level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) English for Specific and Academic Purposes (ESAP) course designed for the students at the Faculty of Medicine.
This course aims to equip students with necessary academic and field specific vocabulary, the processes and strategies needed to understand, evaluate and analyze field specific reading texts and processes and strategies required to produce basic academic essays. This course also aims to help the learners use medical English in their careers effectively as well as helping them acquire strategies to get high scores in the English exams (Yökdil, Tıpdil, YDS) they will take.
