LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Examine discourse of medicine
2) Improve their academic and field specific vocabulary
3) Read and evaluate various texts related to medicine
4) Produce organized and coherent academic paragraphs
5) Participate in-class discussions and share ideas/feelings.

COURSE DEFINITIONİNG 145 is an English for specific purposes (ESP) course which is specifically designed for the students in the department of medicine. The level of this course is from A1 to B1 (from Basic to Independent User level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). This ESP course aims to equip students with necessary academic and field specific vocabulary, the processes and strategies needed to understand, evaluate and analyze field specific reading texts, and processes and strategies required to produce basic academic paragraphs.
