At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn the characteristics of short story. 2) Examine the historical development of short story. 3) Investigate the emergence of short story in Turkish literature. 4) Study the milestones in Turkish short story tradition.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course focuses on the Turkish storytelling tradition, and textual analysis of relevant texts. Besides, the emergence of modern short story, its features, and narrative techniques will be discussed.
